All I could think about was how I was going to pay my bills 6 months from now and be able to provide for my family. That’s all that mattered to me. Taking care of my family. I knew no matter what, I was going to have to make something happen this year and figure out what the secret was to having success online. Then I Got The Phone Call That Changed EVERYTHING! A few weeks after New Years a friend of mine gives me a call out of the blue and says, “Hey Jandro (as some of my friends call me) it’s Scott, what are you up to these days.” I told him “things are GREAT and this is going to be the year.” I hated lying about my life, it hurts. Scott went on to tell me all about the money that he was making and how he knew this marketer and that marketer that I should be able to do really well online if I just met the right people. Something clicked in my head and I told Scott, “I need you to introduce me to the best Internet marketer you know.” Without even skipping a beat Scott says, “I got just the guy and he actually lives just down the street. I would love to hook you up.” An hour later I was on the phone with a successful marketer. Within 20 minutes I learned more than I had on the thousands of dollars worth of "guru" courses I had bought. These products were great, but they didn’t harness the RAW POWER and true use of Social Media. I don’t know about you, but when I learn something that’s cutting edge, I wanna learn it all, not just half of it. The true potential of Social Media lies in actually being “Social.” If there’s no “Social” in your media, then you’re not tapping into this incredible phenomenon.You are leaving thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars on the table. Fast forward to April 1st, 2008. I launch my blog Successfool.com and start applying the strategies of how I use Social Media. I started connecting with people on the social networking sites, joining conversations, adding value to conversations, & before you know it, I started controlling the conversations. I was meeting tons of top marketers, introducing them to other marketers, & people couldn’t help but continue to extend their networks to me at the drop of a dime. I started learning from the best of the best, masterminding with the untouchables, all because of a few simple strategies. Social Marketing expert Michelle Macphearson had asked me to do a webinar with her readers on the importance of networking through Social Media. She even told people that this interview “will change EVERYTHING you know about Social Networking.” I figured there would be 30 – 40 people on this call and I would share some of the strategies I use and that would be it. So Michelle & I promoted the interview just one day before the call using Social Media.
